Docked at 8am. Leaving for our catamaran cruise at 8:30. 🙂
What an awesome day!!! On board the Calypso Girl by about 9:15. Nick (son) and Val (dad) were our host and captain. There were only 6 guests – the boat holds 14. Makes for a wonderful, relaxing time for us but kind of sucks for the company. One of the first questions asked was “what can i get you to drink?” The local beer is Banks. Only minutes from one of the local beaches where the sea turtles hang out, we were swimming and snorkeling soon after boarding. We only saw two turtles, a small one and a pretty big one, but it was still a very neat experience. I had never used this new under water camera and wasn’t sure what to expect. It did pretty good. I adjusted to the snorkel mask and floating pretty easy and was having a ball.

Our next stop was sort of an under water park with several ship wrecks. For some reason the water wasn’t was clear as usual but since we didn’t know the difference it was ok. We still saw tons of fish and enjoyed swimming in the Caribbean ocean.

From there we sailed about a half hour away, dropped anchor and were treated to a buffet style lunch. Fish, pasta, rice, salad and I don’t remember what else. Along the way we had snacked on cheese, crackers, grapes, smoked salmon, rum punch, beer and more rum punch and more beer. Needless to say, the sail back to the dock was extremely relaxing. We enjoyed good company, conversation, sun, wind and hell of a view.
Val and Nick started this company only two years ago and get business from companies who over book and word of mouth. They are great people and I will definitely give them a fabulous review on trip advisor when I have access to wifi.
It felt so good to get back and shower and chill out before dinner. We didn’t make our 6:30 at Blu and our table was occupied. The service was good tonight but we missed Gabriel and Gana. We started with Chilled Maine Lobster salad for our appetizer – Bob, Rick and I had the beef short ribs and Regina had fish for our entrees. Both were excellent. Bob got Cherries Jubilee while the rest of us ordered Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. We all needed cranes to haul us out of there.
The show tonight was comedian Kevin Flynn and he was awesome. He includes people from the audience and talks about what’s happening on the ship and places on the cruise so you know it isn’t a canned act. At least it all of it. We all laughed until we cried.
Back in our cabin by 10:15. Got another early morning in St. Lucia tomorrow.
