Our lobster cruise was on the agenda today. Rick and Gigi booked this one too. It was top rated on tripadvisor.
What a treat to have breakfast out on the balcony overlooking this beautiful view! I just love watching the ship pull into port. And look at this gorgeous rainbow!!
Our first stop was a beautiful local beach where we could swim for about an hour. The water was chilly at first but we adjusted quickly and it felt wonderful. The beer and rum punch was flowing freely. Bob was the smarter one and stuck with beer. I, on the other hand – for some unexplainable reason was sucking down rum punch. I rarely drink liquor. Still not sure why today was an exception.
On the way to our next beach they started grilling the lobster and setting out lunch. More rum punch. As we were anchoring a couple of guys on jet skis pulled up next to the boat looking for business. Again, I don’t know what was going on with me because I normally don’t think jet skis are all that big of a deal.
Today I wanted to ride – $20 for 20 minutes. Really? Rum punch. I thought the guy was going to drive. Nope. Laurie, another girl on the boat (we were soul mates according to her) wanted to go too. We ended up on the thing together with her driving. We got lost. LOL. I don’t know how long we were gone but it was longer than 20 minutes. After lunch and more rum punch we jumped in and floated. All I have to say is its a good damn thing the water is so salty and you just float.
By the time we left I was starting to come off my high – side note, I was drinking water in between each cup of punch. Clearly it wasn’t enough. We got back to the ship about 3:30 and the rest of my day and night was gone. All I wanted to do was sleep it off. Thankfully, I didn’t have a bad head. I just wanted to sleep. I got up around 5:00 and showered. That helped a little. Bob went to dinner. Apparently I was missed and Mazy, the maître d, sent up a plate for me. It was a halibut dinner and salad. That was so sweet! I didn’t eat all of it but I did nibble.
Bob, Rick and Regina came back to the room around 8:30 and Bob bought chocolate cake Gana sent with him for me. I love these people.
