Once we got our lazy butts up and moving this morning we grabbed some breakfast at the Aqua Spa Cafe. All the chairs around the Solarium pool were already taken at 9am. Crazy. Lesson learned. Sarah had called to say they were heading to the spa to sweat out some toxins – DE wasn’t feeling too good. After we ate we wandered up that way to see if any of the heated benches were available – and found the Williams’. (I have a pic of DE praying, but I won’t add it. He has a blackmail pic of me drowning so …) He really wasn’t feeling too good. He says he remembers most of the day/night but there is a black hole at some point. He totally doesn’t remember eating all that pizza Sarah went to get for him. And a roll too! DE doesn’t eat bread. Or pizzas. But he did last night. And doesn’t remember a thing. He swears Sarah gave him a mickey. He doesn’t even remember going to sleep. Sarah pointed out there’s a difference between going to sleep and passing out. LOL
Once we had our fill of the heated benches we went downstairs to the relaxation lounge for some more, well, relaxation. LOL It’s located at the bow so we got an eagle’s view of the bobbing up and down over the waves. I know that really bothers some people but I just love it.
We ended up in the same double hammock we found yesterday for a while. More napping, reading and drinking later we found ourselves back at the Aqua Spa Cafe for some lunch before coming back to the cabin for a change of scenery. The ship has been rockin’ and rollin’ all morning. I don’t know how big these swells are but big enough to move this boat. And it’s a BIG boat.
There was a scrapbook thing at 2:30 in one of the lounges so Bob and I walked around the ship to look at the menus for the various restaurants to see what choices we had for dinner. We also wandered through the shops just to see if there was anything we couldn’t live without. There wasn’t. We ran into DE and Sarah at some point and hung out watching the “wave pool” action (because the ship is rocking so much). I bet it’s fun to be in the pool with it doing that. The water is usually all the way up to the blue edge. Crazy! Video

When Sarah and I headed to the scrapbook thing, Bob and DE went to the black jack table to test their luck. Neither one of us had any major expectations about the scrapbook thing but it turned out to be pretty cool (until Sarah lost hers)! We actually made a little plastic accordion scrapboook (about 4×4 I think) and have the accessories to decorate with after we add a few pics. It’s pretty cute!
We found the guys still at the black jack table and they were about done. So we agreed to meet at Blu at 6:30 for dinner. Our server tonight was Natalia and she was awesome!! She got us discount rates at two of the specialty restaurants (Tucson Grill [was awesome!] for tomorrow night and Murano for lunch on the 28th [we ended up vegging out and not going but Sarah said it was wonderful] ). She totally rocked the entire evening. We will definitely ask for her again next time.
The entertainment tonight was a magic show by Ryan Joyce. He was very entertaining and his tricks were good but it wasn’t the most enthralling magic show I’ve ever seen. The one we saw last year on the cruise I remember we’d have liked to see it again. This one not so much. But that’s ok, it was still good. Another observation about the entertainment this year we’ve noticed is that the shows are only about 45 min long. They used to be closer to an hour. So I guess that’s another thing they’ve cut costs on. Since it’s now going on 10:00 we all went back to our respective cabins to regroup for tomorrow. We’re actually going into Cartagena tomorrow on the tour. Crossing my fingers all goes well.
