Today was a recharge out batteries day. Another rainy morning was in the forecast before the sun would show its face, so we made the most of it – by waking up when we woke up, lounging in pjs and enjoying a leisurely morning. It was after noon by the time we actually left the condo to explore Jackson. We wanted to looks for shirts, do some touristy stuff, get some local coffee, etc. The town actually reminds us of Gatlinburg. It’s not very big and pretty quaint but more on the higher end than Gatlinburg. As we were paying for a couple of shirts the girl behind the counter was talking to another customer about all the Hollywood people who come in there. It sounded like we were supposed to be impressed that she met some of the Kardashians. Whoopdeeflippindo. I could probably bump shoulders on the street with them and not know who they are. And could not care less. Anywho, we got some sweet lady on the street to take our picture under one of the antler arches all over town …

As you can see, they make all kinds of things from all the shedded antlers left behind each year. We stopped in three coffee roaster places and picked up a bag to try from each one. I can’t wait to have a cup in the morning! Oh, we did find a moose charm for my Pandora bracelet that’s really cool – locally made too which we love. Shopped and walked out we headed back to the condo for some more recharging and a little bit of gathering stuff together, throwing a load of laundry in the washer in preparation for moving out tomorrow.

For dinner we picked a little local dive about 4 miles away that got great reviews on Trip Advisor – Stagecoach. They serve very simple fares that people rave over. When we got there the line was almost out the door, there was nowhere to sit (except the outside seating hahahahaha) and we contemplated just grabbing it to go. Before we got up to order a table became available so we grabbed it. We ordered a burger to split – lady said they were big enough – they really weren’t but whatchagonnado? It did taste good though, and it came with real fresh home cooked fries. Mmmmmmm.

Since it’s our last night here in the Tetons we wanted to go hunting one more time to see if we could get any animal shots. We made it out to the pond by about 8:00 and sat and waited until 8:30. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Bust. So now we’re doing one last load of laundry and packing a few things.

Officially off to Yellowstone tomorrow!! Woohoo!!

Next day
