Rowan turned ONE on November 12. Bob and I were in the Caribbean – hey, the cruise was booked before he was born. Thankfully, his mom and dad waited for us to get back home and then to their house for Thanksgiving to enjoy this milestone with us. We made a banana bread type cake with a whipped cream mixed with blueberries frosting. When we sat him in front of that cake … well you can see his expression. He didn’t know what to think, or do. He looked so confused. I don’t think he knew he was supposed to eat it (I don’t know why when everything else goes in his mouth), so we got a fork to show him it was for eating. He took a few bites but mostly just destroyed it. A few times he actually tried to crawl away from it as if he was bored and done but mom would bring him back and he’d take a few more swipes at it. I love the foot in it.

Whew but we had a mess to clean up! So worth it. Love this little guy’s expressions. Priceless!
